Look into becoming a member of the University of Arizona Classified Staff Council.

Become an advocate for your fellow Classified Staff!

Nominees must be non-probationary, classified staff employees who are energetic, conscientious, and concerned with staff issues. Candidates can self nominate or be nominated by their co-workers or their supervisors.

Classified Staff Council’s specific activities are reviewed each year to support the Council’s important goals of:

  • Support of Awards for Excellence and other employee recognition events.

  • Providing representation for classified staff on various key campus committees.

  • Offering a professional development scholarship. (Emily Krauz Staff Endowment Scholarship)

  • Acting as advocates of classified staff to senior administration and Human Resources.

  • Conduct an annual conference focusing on classified staff career growth.

The Classified Staff Council is composed of members in various classified positions around campus. These individuals serve as advocates for all classified staff of the University of Arizona.

The CSC advise the University Administration regarding staff concerns and interacts closely with departments. Since many of these issues are related to personnel policies (e.g. Benefits, pay, employment practices), CSC works closely with the Human Resources. Council members also bring staff perspectives to campus issues by serving on various University Committees or by open discussions at our monthly meetings.

If you are interested in applying, or know of someone who would make a great addition to CSC, please nominate them:  Candidates may nominate themselves, or be nominated.

Come join us for a council meeting and see what CSC is up to! Our general meetings are open to the UA community.  We meet the first Tuesday of the month from 3:30-5pm.
Check the CSC website for more information.
